National Finn Regatta @ Inside-Outside Ostend

On Sunday 4th of September 2022 the 6th National Regatta took place at Inside-Outside on Lake "Spuikom" @ Ostend. The wind conditions were low and the wind direction was variable. Luckily there was a small sea breeze picking up after lunch time. Sigurd sailed very regular with 3 first positions, 1 second and 1 third position. With only 1 point difference in the total ranking, Filip Willems ended up 2nd. Mark Geboes managed to achieve a 3rd position overall.

The number of participants was disappointing due to the many family obligations from the other Belgian Finn Sailors... Nevertheless it turned out to be a great sailing day!

With his 18 years of life experience & barely 90 kg, Noah participated in this Finn Regatta for the 2nd time after the promotion weekend and already managed to show his potential to compete. The Europe Class clearly appears to be a good learning school!

Unfortunately he broke his main halyard and had to give up for the last 3 races.
