The organisation was top. Anna and Maria were “les gentilles organisateurs”. Unbelievable. Problems did not exist for them. Only solutions, each and every one of which they came up with with a smile. Blessed women, they also received very favourable comments on Facebook. An unprecedented organisation!
Unfortunately, ‘only’ 110 masters turned up. Hopefully this is still corona-pain. Compared to the previous editions 355 in Torbole, 365 in El Balis, but a meagre turnout. But the atmosphere was still the same, familiar, warm and cosy one.
Fun and sportsmanship were central.
The organisation chose to have everyone start at the same time. 110 on 1 starting line. A displaced upper barrel was only 1 buoy. Sometimes a lot of activity because of this. Sigurd even once with damage.
At the lower buoy everything floated together and sometimes 40 sailors had to go through the gate at the same time.
Apart from the fact that I would argue for 2×55 on the starting line, a great party.
We consider Filip Willems’ presence on the podium of the Legends as the icing on the cake.

We were with the 4 Belgians and their coach, being me, in a rented house. We had a lot of laughs and fun. Besides good food and debriefings.

We are already dreaming of the next edition in 2022 that will take place in Helsinki.
